Why do you need / want connect task manager to a cloud storage?

I don't know what the OP had in mind but it might be nice to have a task to read a document. There is an option in Google Docs to star a document. However, this wouldn't be a priority for me as an integration request.

It would be great to see assigned tasks in documents. As in https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/search?q=followup:actionitems
